New trail maps on the website (see Trails & Directions)..
Exhibit, ‘Days Out of Doors: Exploring the Abbott Marshlands’, at the Nature Center, on view until Oct.
Watch for new signs.  Those at Roebling Park were installed in late June.

Tulpehaking Nature Center – summer offerings. Saturdays and Sundays through August.

August 4 – First Saturday Wellness Walk. 10 am – noon.  Abbott Trail, Watson Woods. Meet at Tulpehaking Nature Center, 157 Westcott Ave., Hamilton. There is a gentle hill. Guide: Kelly Rypkema.

Aug. 10 (Fri), (Aug. 11, Sat. Rain Date).  Insects – Sit, Learn, Discover Outside Event — Subject to Weather.  8-9:30 p.m. (Eugene will stay longer if people are interested). For kids of
all ages. Guide: Eugene M. Fuzy, Entomologist and Deputy Mayor of Bordentown Township.   Bring a chair and flashlight (for safe walking) and sit near a light trap to discover Insects that are active after dark.

Insect species represent more than half of all living animals, and they
are the most diverse animal group on Earth, yet we know very few of those
that live nearby. See what Northern Community Park has to offer. Free.

Healing Trails exhibit (trails includes the Abbott Marshlands tidal water trail and upland trails (combined) – submission due date is Nov. 4, 2018.   For submission details see:

9th Voices for the Abbott Marshland Photography Show.  Open to all photographers.  Entries due Feb. 15, 2019.  The timing of this announcement is to encourage photographers to explore the trails during all seasons. 1st Saturday walks and other programs provide opportunities to explore marsh trails in this >3000 acre naturally and culturally important wetland area. For information about the marshlands, a schedule, and call for entries, see Questions:

Explore the Abbott Marshlands with a guide or walk or paddle the trails on your own! If you are an inexperienced paddler, not familiar with tidal rivers, you are strongly encouraged to learn with an experienced guide.
