Watson After Dark

Come visit the historic Isaac Watson House, and  see the house and grounds in a NEW LIGHT as we light up the night and the house by candlelight. Luminaria lights, will outline the walking path to the house and the house will be lit with replica candlesticks, reminiscent of the early-1700’s when the home was built. Decide for yourself if you can truly live “by candlelight” to do everyday chores, sewing & mending, spinning and reading!

Costumed re-enactors will delight visitors with tales of daily life & living in an 18th century home as well as information on the local military activity during revolutionary times. Watson House and the landowners were major players in the area during the American Revolution. Parking is available on site; visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight for safety.

We work hard to maintain our 300 year-old floors, please wear sneakers or flat- soled shoes – high heels NOT allowed in the building. This event is open to DAR members, families & the general public. (May not be appropriate for anyone with walking problems or children in strollers)

*Admission: $10.00/adults, $ 5.00/children under 12. Pay at the Admissions table, *CASH/CHECKS will be accepted for Tickets at the Admissions table
Please make checks payable to “The Founder’s Committee”. Tickets on a first come basis and available until 7:30pm. First Floor of the Watson House is handicapped accessible.
