Nix the Knotweed-NJ Volunteer Trail Work

Have a few spare hours on a Saturday morning to make a difference?

Northern Community Park includes a rich woodland ecosystem.   Unfortunately, there is an area where invasive Japanese knotweed is moving into the understory and crowding out the native plants.  Join the Stewardship team of the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands to cut back the knotweed and stop its spread.

Please wear gloves and bring water and clippers.  Long handled loppers are best.  Meet in the main parking area.
