Herbarium Workshop
January 26 @ 1:00 am - 3:00 pm
Free
Curious about Herbariums?
Did you know that botanist Mary Leck dried plant specimens from the Abbott Marshlands for many years to create an herbarium collection?
Join the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands and your New Jersey Watershed Ambassador, Doressa Williams, for Herbaria 101! Come out to the Tulpehaking Nature Center and enjoy a talk introducing the history of herbaria, the plant pressing process, and the uses of herbaria today.
After the lecture, we’ll have an opportunity to examine some herbarium specimens. And if you are willing, we’d love for you to assist us in pasting on some newly prepared labels.
Event is free, yet registration is requested. Register here!
