Spring Lake sits near the remains of a grand staircase that carried visitors from the upper fairgrounds of the White City Amusement Park to the lake below for boating and recreation in the early 1900’s. Surrounded by a wide walking trail the lake continues to be an important spot for recreation and nature observation in John Roebling Memorial Park. Additional trails accessed from this location include the Island Trail through a floodplain forest and a trail along the base of the bluff that connects to the Watson House and Tulpehaking Nature Center.
Directions: From South Broad Street turn West onto Sewell Ave. The closest intersection to the park entrance is Sewell and McClellan. Continue past McClellan to the end of Sewell, turn left and drive down the hill to the parking lot.
