This Solstice Walk for Members is all about immersing in the inherent stillness of the winter solstice in nature. We will walk along the trails of Bordentown Bluffs, pausing here and there to connect to the earth, the tress, the light, the smells and sounds of winter. Feel free to bring your camera, binoculars, note or sketch pad if you like. The Solstice occurs at ~ 10:00 am, which coordinates perfectly with our walk! This Solstice Walk is on Bordentown Bluffs on Stanton Ave (off Rt 206 South) in Bordentown, NJ . This trail is mostly flat with a moderate incline to get to the bluffs. Members of the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands are invited to come on this walk, check if you are a member here: If you have joined after November 1, your name might not be on the list yet, you are welcome to join in! If you would like to come on the walk and become a member then, perfect! The walk will be between 1.5 and 2 hrs, depending on our pace!
Anyone who would like to join us after the walk for a cozy chat and cup of coffee or tea at Turtle Beans Roastery in Bordentown is very welcome, yet another perk (lol) for our members!
Registration is strongly recommended so we can let you know in case of a cancellation, if you do not register please check the website 1 hour before the start of the walk to be sure it is still happening.
