Have you taken photos at the marsh to submit to Voices for the Marsh Photographic Juried Exhibition? Or are you planning to enter the exhibition and haven’t gotten into the marsh yet ? Come to this opportunity to pick up tips on framing and matting from Kathy Keelan from Michaels to learn methods of attractively showcasing  your photography pieces. This event is geared toward those looking to submit an entry in the 2026 Voices Exhibition, and will also give you a chance to ask about submissions to the Voices for the Marsh Juried Show from committee members in attendance.

This workshop will cover:

*Benefits of framing your artwork
*Framing options
*Professional Framing vs DIY
*Frame shop pros/cons
*DIY pros/cons
*What a professional framer provides (or should)
*Components of a framed piece of artwork
*Purpose of each framing component
*Important considerations and practical advice
*Demonstration of mat construction, mounting of artwork in mat and mat
into frame.

This workshop is co-organized by 2026 Voices for the Marsh and Abbott Marshlands Photography Club.
