18 September 2013 7:30 PM: “Beguiled by the Abbott Marshlands: Ecology & Natural History”

Bordentown City Environmental Commission Earth Talk Series
Carslake Community Center – Crosswicks St., Bordentown City

Mary Allessio Leck, Emeritus Professor of Biology, Rider University will focus on the incredible diversity and beauty of the Abbott Marshlands (formerly known as the Hamilton – Trenton – Bordentown Marsh). Besides the marshlands themselves, Professor Leck will also discuss current stewardship issues and how planning has progressed over the last few years. If you haven’t hiked, biked or canoed/kayaked through this unique local wonder, make sure you attend this talk. Even if you have been taking advantage of it, here’s a great opportunity to get some deeper insight, ask some questions, and learn how you can help preserve this very special place.
