A freshwater tidal marsh - an urban oasis.
This month we’ll have a special opportunity to visit the trees of Pointe Breeze with Dan Druckenbrod as our guide. Dan is a professor of Environmental Sciences at Rider University who has been studying the historic trees of the former Bonaparte Estate. Meet in the gym parking area off Park Street in Bordentown.
Note: Due to Covid 19, registration is required and will be limited to 15 participants. Program is free but registration is required. Masks and social distancing also required. Register Here.
Each First Saturday of the Month, the Friends host a walk to explore a different part of the rich and diverse natural area known as the Abbott Marshlands. All walks are from 10 am to noon. In case of inclement weather, check the marsh website; any cancellations will be listed before 9 am on the day of the event. A light drizzle will not cancel.
This months walk is co-sponsored by the RWJ Fitness and Wellness Center, the City of Bordentown, and the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park.
