Join us on this beautiful walk that opens our day of celebration of the life and times of Charles Conrad Abbott! We will walk the trails that lead to the site where Abbott’s beloved farmhouse “Three Beeches” once stood as we talk about the history of the marsh and his contributions that lead to the designation of the area being a National Historic Landmark!
We will meet in the parking lot of the Watson House/Tulpehaking Nature Center. Please stay for the C.C. Abbott birthday celebration that starts at 12 noon at the Tulpehaking Nature Center.
Join us on the First Saturday of each month to experience the health and wellness benefits of a walk in the outdoors. Each First Saturday Walk will explore a different part of the rich and diverse natural area known as the Abbott Marshlands. All walks are from 10 am to noon. In case of inclement weather, check the marsh website; any cancellations will be listed before 9 am on the day of the event. A light drizzle will not cancel. Program is free but registration is Required.
