“Seek” and Find
1 st Sundays (Oct. 2, Nov. 6) ~Families can explore nature together with “Seek,” an app by iNaturalist. We’ll teach you
how to use it, then go on a different Seek challenge each month. Use your own
smartphone or participate with us as a group.
2 nd Sundays (Oct. 9, Nov. 13) ~Learn your leaf shapes in this family-friendly bingo with prizes. Outside, we’ll practice
our tree ID by collecting real leaves to use as our game pieces. Then it’s game on. We’re “rooting” for you!
Nature Under the Microscope
3 rd Sundays (Oct. 16, Nov. 20) ~ Explore nature up close, really close! We’ll guide you through the use of a microscope to
examine our collection of insects, butterfly wings, feathers, seeds, plus any natural
treasures that you find while we explore outside the nature center.
Feed the Animals
4 th Sundays (Oct. 23, Nov. 27) ~ It’s lunchtime for our education animals! See what it takes to keep them healthy, clean,
