Butterfly Count

Join a survey team for The North American Butterfly Association (NABA) Annual Butterfly Count at the Abbott Marshlands.  Help with this important citizen science effort.  If you have an interest, but don’t know a Monarch from a Silver Spotted Skipper, That’s OK – this will be a great opportunity to learn!  Bring binoculars if you have them.

Our guide for the day will be Mary Anne Borge.  Meet at the Spring Lake Parking Lot in Roebling Park.  Directions:  From South Broad Street in Hamilton, turn onto Sewell Ave., drive to the end, turn left and drive down the hill.

Bring lunch, but feel free to leave at any point if you cannot spend the full day.  We’ll wrap up between 2-3 pm.  A $3 cash fee for each participant helps NABA defray the cost of collecting and analyzing count data.  Registration recommended.  For questions and to register:  info@abbottmarshlands.org.
