A freshwater tidal marsh - an urban oasis.
Sat. 28 Feb. 10 AM – noon. Tulpehaking Nature Center 157 Westcott Ave., Hamilton, NJ.
Invite bluebirds into your backyard with a handmade birdhouse. Nearly a century ago, our country almost lost its Eastern bluebird populations — but after many decades, the species is the subject of a great conservation success story. Become part of this bird’s success and build a nest box for your backyard. Adults will learn about the natural history of the Eastern bluebird and build a nest box while children will participate in their own program and make recycled bird feeders. Building materials and tools, not gloves, will be provided.
RSVP required. $5/person or $20/family; $15 material fee for nest box. (Mercer County Parks).
