Art in the Marsh: Drawing Bare Trees in Snow

The lack of leaves on trees in the Abbott Marshlands allow you to find birds, notice more of the marsh and what’s really happening. Reflect on the beauty of bare trees themselves… Join us for a brief walk to explore nearby trees and select a favorite to photograph and sketch inside the Tulpehaking Nature Center, where its warm. Artist Margaret Simpson will guide us as we draw the trees and add a bit of snow (whether there is really snow on the ground or not. Artistic license allows that!)  We’ll use black paper and white pencil for a bit of drama.

Cost: $15 per person. Don’t worry about art supplies and clipboards, they will be provided for you. Registration opens Feb 4, register here!
