Abbott Marshlands Nature Book Club

The Abbott Marshlands Nature Book Club will meet again on Thursday, July 30th at 7 PM via Zoom.

This month we will be discussing  “Upland and Meadow.  A Poaetquissings Chronicle” by Charles Conrad Abbott.

Wander into the mind of Charles Abbott as he chronicles his contemplative rambles in the local area.  If you haven’t read any of Abbott’s Naturalist writings before, I think you’ll find it a surprising treat.  An 1886 book review in The Academy called it “the most delightful book of its kind which America has given to us”.
