A freshwater tidal marsh - an urban oasis.
Help the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands and the AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors Program in a #SouthJerseyScrub cleanup along the #DelawareRiver to remove trash from the Abbott Marshlands! This is a fun annual event where you can get to know your community and make a positive impact on the environment! The #AbbottMarshlands are a unique freshwater tidal marshlands system which is unfortunately constantly inundated with trash – both from the tides that bring in debris and from the inland trash from the streets and storm drains. Please come help us make our community healthier, ecosystem stronger and our water cleaner!
When and where?
Meet at the Trenton Public Boat Ramp. The event is 1 – 4 PM but please arrive about 10-15 minutes early to sign in and enjoy light refreshments.
What to bring?
Please bring your own water bottle and wear layers, closed-toed shoes (they might get wet – we recommend rain boots or waterproof hiking boots), and long pants. All supplies will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own work gloves, neon safety vest, or trash grabbers if you have them.

You! Everyone is welcome to help out! If you would like to register a group you may do so on the registration page or you can email the event coordinators. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
