SUMMARY:First Saturday Wellness Walk - Summer Breeze on Bordentown Bluffs
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we enjoy the lovely verdant trails of Bordentown Bluffs in the summer time! This walk will focus on simply enjoying being out in nature\, and exploring the sights\, scents and sounds. This trail does have some elevation changes\, so bring your hiking sticks if you like to use them and wear good hiking shoes. \nBordentown Bluffs Trailhead is at the end of Stanton Road\, take a right off of Rt 206 SOUTH just past point Breeze Apartments and and  before the traffic light for Park St. \nEach First Saturday of the Month\, the Friends host a walk to explore a different part of the rich and diverse natural area known as the Abbott Marshlands. All walks are from 10 am to noon. In case of inclement weather\, check the marsh website; any cancellations will be listed before 9 am on the day of the event. A light drizzle will not cancel. \nPlease note: By participating in this event\, you are giving the Friends for Abbott Marshlands\, its representatives and staff\, permission to record or take photographs of you during the event. Photographs may be used for educational or marketing purposes\, in print or electronically. If you register and find you cannot attend\, please remember to cancel your ticket as many of our events are waitlisted.

DESCRIPTION:Please join Entomologist Eugene M. Fuzy for a night of Insect Discovery within the Abbott Marshlands! \nThis will be held in the Spring Lake Area of Roebling Memorial Park.  Adults and families with interested children are welcome. \nEugene will talk about the different insects that arrive at a light trap – a special light on a standing sheet. The experience involves very little movement as we wait for the insects to arrive with the dark.  Participants should bring folding chairs and a flashlight.   Long pants and long sleeve shirts are recommended. \nProgram will begin at 7 PM\, but guests are encouraged to arrive any time after 6:30 to set up their chairs for a prompt 7 PM start. \nRegistration required. RSVP below.

The last Wednesday of each month has an added bonus: seasonal beverages and refreshments at the Tulpehaking Nature Center following the walk. \nThis program is free. No registration is required. Meet in the Parking Lot near the Tulpehaking Nature Center by 10 am. \nNote: In case of inclement weather\, cancellations are posted by 9 am on our website and Facebook page.

SUMMARY:First Saturday Wellness Walk- Island Trails of Spring Lake
DESCRIPTION:This month’s walk  is on the Island Trails in Roebling Park\, Hamilton! Join us as we journey through the Island Trails with a focus on ecology. Parking is at the Spring Lake Parking lot (500 Sewell Ave\, Hamilton\, NJ)\, though you can park at the TNC Parking lot (157 Westcott Ave\, Hamilton\, NJ) and walk to Spring Lake as long as you arrive there by 10 am. \nJoin us on the First Saturday of each month to experience the health and wellness benefits of a walk in the outdoors.  Each First Saturday Walk will explore a different part of the rich and diverse natural area known as the Abbott Marshlands. All walks are from 10 am to noon.  In case of inclement weather\, check the marsh website; any cancellations will be listed before 9 am on the day of the event. A light drizzle will not cancel. Program is free but registration is Required. \nPlease note: participants in the walk may be included in Social Media posts and other Friends promotions. Participation in the walk gives your consent to this.
