A freshwater tidal marsh - an urban oasis.
Come on out and join us on Saturday, April 16th for our Spring Cleanup in Roebling Memorial Park in the Abbott Marshlands .
The AbbottMarshlands are a unique freshwater tidal marshlands system which is unfortunately often a recipient of trash – both from the tides that bring in debris from the River and inland trash from the streets and storm drains. Please come out to help us make our community healthier, ecosystem stronger and our water cleaner! Please dress for the weather and possible muddy conditions.
The event will be co-sponsored by the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands , the Mercer County Park Commission, and the AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors Program.
DIRECTIONS NOTE: We will meet in the Spring Lake Parking area. At the end of Sewell Avenue off South Broad Street – turn left and go down the hill.
