The Abbott Marshlands are a regionally significant natural area and a nationally important archaeological site. Recently the area, once known as the Hamilton – Trenton- Bordentown Marsh, has been renamed the Abbott Marshlands. It is named after Charles Conrad Abbott (1843-1915), naturalist and archaeologist, who brought much attention to the area through his nature and archeological writings.
Presented by: The City Museum of Trenton at Ellarslie, the Tulpehaking Nature Center, Mercer County Park Commission, the New Jersey State Museum, and Friends for the Abbott Marshlands in Partnership with D&R Greenway Land Trust
