Join us as we dive deep into the world of fishing, including fish ID, selecting the proper lure, cooking your catch, and fun exciting trips, all fishing related. Designed specifically for youth aged 10-14, the goal is to develop positive life skills, nurture self-esteem and confidence, and participate in constructive recreation. Limited to 15 participants.

Come join a naturalist led bird walk and survey to see Roebling Park is used by migrating fall birds. This project is part of the #BagThePhrag marsh restoration initiative at Abbott Marshlands. We will collect data to see how birds use this area to migrate as the marsh restoration progresses throughout different seasons.

Celebrate the life-giving waters of the Abbott Marshlands with family activities, prizes, and lunch on the lawn. Leave your mark on the nature center with Guerilla Haiku, a new special exhibit featuring the work of you, our visitors. Then get a closer look at the Abbott Marshlands with a family-friendly activity course and wildlife search on the trails. Are you up to the challenge?  Free meals with dessert to the first 100 visitors.

An open forum for members of the public to learn about and ask questions about the Roebling Park Restoration project.  A representative from Princeton Hydro, the company contracted by the county to perform the restoration, County Naturalist, Jenn Rogers, and County Land Steward, Jillian Stark will be in attendance.

10:00 am Roebling Park Restoration Project - Interpretive Walk

Come take a stroll through the marsh and learn about the ecological restoration that the County and its partners have planned to begin this fall. We will learn about the invasive reed, Phragmites, why it poses a threat to the natural ecology of the marsh, and what we plan on doing about it.
