Welcome to the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands Benefit Auction
The Abbott Marshlands is one of New Jersey’s most treasured natural landscapes — a vital refuge for wildlife, a living classroom, and a place where our community connects with nature. Your generosity helps us protect and restore this irreplaceable ecosystem for generations to come.
We invite you to donate items that bring people together and celebrate the outdoors: nature experiences, guided tours, outdoor gear, local arts and crafts, gift certificates, handmade goods, and family-friendly activities. Every bid and every donation builds both our mission and our community.

Contribution Ideas
Teaching Crafts – Knitting, Cooking Class, Woodworking
Home Services – Yard Work, Dog walking, Cat Sitting, etc.
Food Gatherings – Host a meal…Give a gift certificate … delivered custom gift
Food, events gift cards, custom services gift cards, etc.
Gift Certificates – to a favorite restaurant, amusement park, movie etc.
Host games – trivia, cards, board games, etc.
Host activities – Golf, Fishing, Walk in Woods,
Physical Items – Physical Items should be in like-new condition and should be worth at least $25.
Restrictions and Limitations
- Auction bids will begin at $25. Please keep that in mind in determining items that are appropriate to donate.
- Transportation services will not be included in the auction unless they are provided by a professional service with appropriate insurance.
- Alcohol may not be offered as a direct auction item.
- You may host a gathering where alcohol is served. If so, admission must be limited to guests aged 21 and over.
- You will be responsible for coordinating with the purchaser(s) of your item for delivery. All items must be delivered as soon as possible or no later than December 31, 2026.
The last day for donors to submit items and/or services will be Sunday, May 17th. Our online auction website will be available for viewing starting on Saturday, May 30th and the bidding begins during our Abbott Day Birthday Celebration on Saturday, June 6th. The bidding will close on Sunday, June 14th after the opening reception for our Voices in the Marsh Photography Competition.
