December 2017 Abbott Marshlands Happenings!

Posted by:

Happy Holidays & Best Wishes for 2018!

Visit your marshlands.  Winter can be magical!  While much of nature rests, there are birds to see and hear, plants with bare stems and buds that make identifications more challenging, and on a warm day even insects for the discerning eye.  On cold days, ice can provide interesting patterns and textures, and you may find wing and foot prints in snow.

  • Art Exhibit – on going
  • Water and upland trail apps

Note: some programs require registration & locations vary.

Guides and locations will vary. These, ‘Fitness Walks’, are cosponsored by Robert Woods Johnson Hospital -Hamilton and the Tulpehaking Nature Center, and Friends for the Abbott Marshlands.

Also: To complement your marshland bird viewing, see the ‘Feather and Flight’ exhibit at D&R Greenway Land Trust, Dec. 4, 2017- Feb. 2018.  (Johnson Education Center, 1 Preservation Place, Princeton, NJ).
